You don't need to be an expert to run a course with P2PU. One of the main goals of the orientation process is to provide you with a place to improve your skills as a facilitator. The chart below maps out the capabilities of an online facilitator. Use it to identify your skill level - you may have varying experience in each category. Our goal is to help organizers make progress as a facilitator through the orientation.

The chart above is an excerpt from Facilitating Online, a course intended for training educators as online facilitators of fully online and mixed mode courses. The course manual was written by Tony Carr, Shaheeda Jaffer and Jeanne Smuts and was published online and in print in early 2009. Tony Carr actively participated in incorporating this resource into the P2PU Orientation seminar.
