Course Details
Introduction to Basic Epidemiology is a course that introduces the basic concepts of epidemiology as applied to public health problems. Emphasis is placed on the basic principles and methods of epidemiologic investigation, appropriate summaries and displays of data, and the use of classical statistical approaches to describe the health of populations. Topics include what is epidemiology in public health, study types in epidemiology, basic infectious diseases concepts in epidemiology, measuring risk in epidemiology, and basic concepts in data analysis.

Knowledge in health, diseases, and mathematics.

undegraduate students in health and allied health professions, health worker and other people who are interested in public health.
Experience
Yes, I was a former health educator/health promoter in Guyana, a Clinical Research Associate with a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company and a Project officer of Tuberculosis Control Programme of the Catholic Relief Services-Philippines. I conducted surveys, data collection and data analyses using biostatistics and epidemiology.
