P2PU Sustainability Ideas

Pay to use P2PU if you want any restrictions on your courses (For-profit consulting armowned by a nonprofit)

- Gov't

- Institutions

- Employer training systems

- Pay for any customization, tech support, or organizer support

 

Assessment / Accreditation

- Driving other people's badges (e.g. Mozilla)

- Linking to formal Institutions (e.g. Assessment of Prior Learning service)

- Pay for employers to post targeted opportunities to users with specific badges

- Selling physical certificates, etc. (do we get that directly or do other people and give us a kick-back)

- Selling reliable assessment data to employers

 

Endowment

- $1k * 1k "investors"

- Let loans roll over into grant

- Marketing around this

 

Individual Donations

 

Real Estate - Collaborative Spaces

- Buyers Market

- Referral for space booking offline

 

P2PU Student Groups

- Get university funding for their local projects

- Let groups form "clubs" within P2PU and have membership dues

 

Advertising - super targeting ("underwriting"), Sponsorship, Curated

- Targeted to students w/ specific badges

- Sponsorship of courses, schools, tech dev

 

Spot.us / Kickstarter

- Propose projects / courses you want to do if someone will pay you to do it

 

Merchandise

- T-Shirts - can currently buy for $16 + $10

 

Fundraisers (Concerts, dinners, launches, etc.) + Raffle Prizes + Selling Merchandise

 

Sell P2PU email addresses

 

Patrons/ Angels

- Pay to buy a badge that says "I donated" "community contributor badge"

 

Post tasks, we will pay P2PU if you do this task (Tech Dirt, KaosPilots)

 

Meetup.com referrals

 

Corporate/ College Readiness

- College pay p2pu for remedial work w/ students who arrive unprepared

- Secondary school systems pay for ESL work

- Pre-departure prep for volunteer, work, or study abroad programs
